Los trabajadores de los restaurantes WOK-VIPS irán a la huelga la semana que viene
CC OO ha convocado cuatro jornadas de huelga entre los días 4 y 7 de marzo en los restaurantes Wok, pertenecientes al grupo VIPS en protesta por el despido improcedente de 16 trabajadores de nacionalidad china, y contra las continuas amenazas y acosos sufridos por los trabajadores y los incumplimientos de la empresa de lo regulado en convenio colectivo en cuanto a los traslados de trabajadores de un centro de trabajo a otro.
Los 16 trabajadores fueron despedidos por parar sin aviso previo el pasado jueves 7 de febrero, tras el enésimo traslado, sin notificación previa por parte de la empresa y de forma ilegal, a otro restaurante. La situación era tan grave que sus compañeros decidieron protestar parando en la cocina.
Se da la circunstancia que la mayoría de los trabajadores que trabajan en los 24 centros que gestiona el Grupo VIPS con el título “The Wok”, son en su mayoría de nacionalidad china que no habla ni lee el idioma castellano, y que les es necesario interprete. Por esta razón, CC OO ha pedido que las notificaciones a los trabajadoros se hagan en castellano y sean entregados a su vez en chino, para que puedan defenderse de las posibles agresiones de la patronal.
La federación de hostelería y comercio del sindicato ha denunciado a su vez la represión policial ejercida por la empresa, en cuanto a, la utilización de los cuerpos y seguridad del estado para la intervención en lo que es un conflicto laboral y con el único objeto de amedrentar y acosar a los trabajadores.
